Microsoft's results in the third quarter of the year exceeded Wall Street estimates as its cloud computing and computer business grew amid customer enthusiasm for its artificial intelligence products.
Microsoft has yet to release most of the products it has developed with OpenAI, the creator of the chatbot GBT, after initially financially supporting and collaborating with it. But enthusiasm among corporate tech buyers for features such as the ability to summarize email heaps at a few points or help type computer code quickly helped lift the company's revenue 13 percent to $56.5 billion in the quarter ended Sept. 30.
